G-20 in Pitt. Protests and Jail Time

An old friend of mine, and someone who I actually haven't talked to in a really long time, posted on her Facebook profile this morning that she had just gotten out of jail, so naturally, I clicked, and this was what I found:

"Among the arrested was Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Sadie Gurman who was taken into custody while filing reports for the Post-Gazette's web site and print edition. Ms. Gurman, who was wearing Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh summit media credentials around her neck when arrested before midnight, was released from jail shortly after 9 a.m. today.

Good for Sadie! We worked on our high school newspaper together, and I knew she became a "real" reporter, so it's awesome to see that she is, well, really reporting. As for the G-20, I think the police over- reacted a bit.
